B. Food Preparation

Have you ever wanted to make your own fresh baked loaf of bread, yogurt, homemade cheese, soups, pies, pasta dishes, etc.?  Foods made from scratch taste wonderful!   And, they are so nutritious!  When the homemaker chooses every ingredient that goes into the meals she provides, she is taking charge of the nutritional health of her family.

But, learning to cook from scratch is overwhelming, you say.  It doesn't have to be.   You can choose a new recipe or new skill every season and practice it until it becomes second nature.  You will be surprised how quickly you learn after you take that first step.  The attached recipes will provide guidance with some foods that have become our favorites!.

We hope our resource bank for food preparation ideas will continue to grow.  We invite homemakers to submit their favorite recipes for using foods from their food storage.  We are also looking for cooking techniques that can be used in times of power-outages or other emergencies.

Currently, we have recipes from the following categories:

  • Alternative Grains
  • Beans
  • Dairy
  • Oats, Honey, Sugar
  • Rice and Pasta
  • Spices
  • Sprouts
  • Wheat
You can access these recipes by clicking on the side bar menu under Food Preparation.
