Option A - Research
Research what the characteristics of Deaf communities are. How do these communities differ from other communities? Are all Deaf communities the same? Include any other information you find interesting. Minimum 300 words. Please cite any sources used.
Option B - Application
Part A - 20 points:
Find out what the signs are for 10 of the following words in the sign language of your choice. Please state which sign language you are using and also include links to the images or videos you found for those signs. Once you've found the signs, state which of them make use of the dominance condition and which of them make use of the symmetry condition.

2. FATHER
3. MOTHER
4. BROTHER
5. SISTER
6. GRANDFATHER
7. GRANDMOTHER
8. SON
9. DAUGHTER
10. HUSBAND

16. FRIEND
Part B - 10 points:
Choose a sign in your sign language and describe it according to the Movement-Hold Model. Include a link to a video or picture of it.
Please note that I'm only looking for a general description of the parameters in terms of the Location and Orientation. There's no right or wrong way as such. Also, it can sometimes be tricky to distinguish between a Hold and an Altered Hold, so points won't be lost for using one instead of the other.
To make it easier, I have made a table here which you can copy/download and then fill it in. Either send me a link to your table or take a screenshot of it and upload it onto an image-hosting site.
