This a drawing of the British Mark VIII Tank:
In 1918, American and british inventors joined together to make a new tank. It was called the Mark VIII or Liberty (Used by the Americans).
The first Mark VIII was ready in the summer of 1918 and it was different to other tanks as the engine was separated from the crew compartment.
The armour was improved and the length increased to fight Germany's decision to make wider trenches on the Western Front.
