But tomorrow looks nice! Earth Hour is tomorrow at 8:30 P.M. for those that want to participate, and it looks like a good night to step out and see the stars (and we're not talking about the one's on TV!)
We'd also like to mention a special offer that was presented to our veterans and service men and women (both active and retired) in the neighborhood. If you go to the Loch Raven Home Depot (on Joppa Road) and present your military ID, you'll get an extra 10% off your purchase. That, combined with the tree coupon, can help make some nice additions to your landscaping.
While our neighborhood continues to be quiet, we're reminding everyone to stay vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to 911! We'd like to get the COP up and running, but need someone to volunteer for scheduling. Please let us know if you'd be able to help!
Finally, if you're looking for garden information, it is definitely not too late! The University of Maryland has a great resource for the new gardener. Already experienced when it comes to playing in the dirt? This website is a great place to enhance or expand your skills, offerring everything from garden design to hydroponics/aquaponics and more! Where would we be without the Internet? Well, we'd probably still be designing our gardens on paper. Some of these are free, some of them cost some money. But they can help you plan and visualize your idea.
Remember - we have a meeting on Monday, the 29th, at the Loch Raven Library, 7:00 P.M. Hope to see you there.
