PTO Programs

The PTO supports the Harvard Schools through funding Grants, through Teacher & Staff Appreciation, and through funding and organizing educational and community Events & Fundraisers.

Grant Program

The Grant Program is designed to support curriculum enrichment as well as school resources. Teachers and staff are encouraged to apply for grants to fund enrichment programs, performances and other opportunities as well as to fund supplies, equipment, and other experiences which will have a direct and beneficial impact on the quality of education for students.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought new challenges requiring teachers, staff and administrators to reconsider and modify their educational strategies.  The PTO continues to work hard to provide the district ongoing support and funding as they reimagine their curriculum enrichment goals and programs.

To request a Grant, please complete the Harvard PTO Grant Request Form:  Harvard PTO Grant Request Form

Teacher & Staff Appreciation

The PTO recognizes the incredibly important role that the amazing teachers and staff at both HES and TBS play in the education and lives of our children.  We cannot thank them enough for all that they do and over this past year in particular are inspired by their courage, perseverance and flexibility in the setting of a global pandemic and new challenges in educating students through remote learning and masks.  We are pleased to be able to show them our support with appreciation offerings throughout the year.  These range from small seasonal gestures to meals to multi-event appreciation weeks shown below. Events & Fundraisers

The PTO helps to fund school organized events that support and celebrate students, as well as organizes  fundraisers and events intended to raise funds and build community.  We are also pleased to publish the HPS Student & Staff Directory  which is delivered to supporting members annually in the late fall.

We were delighted in 2021-22 to bring back the annual PTO HES Book Fair in person.  Thanks to generous parents and community members we collected over $14,500 in book sales and the PTO was able to provide HES with $7400 in Scholastic Book Bucks.  Using this donation the classroom teachers, aides and specialists selected and purchases over 380 items to stock their rooms and programs.

Many thanks to Mrs. Q for her hard work in coordinating the event with the PTO.

The Square 1 Art Program was a great success in 2021-22 with over $4000 raised and 53% of students participating.

Many thanks to Ms. Apple for her hard work with the students to produce fabulous art!
