1SG Floyd R. Baldon Jr. was born in Niagara Falls, New York but was raised in Houston, Texas. 1SG Baldon is married to his wife Catina and they have 5 children. He enlisted in the United States Army on 28 August 1990 in Houston Texas and attended Basic Training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Next 1SG Baldon attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina where he was trained as a 91B Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. 1SG Baldon's assignments include: the 225th Maintenance Company where he served as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic in support of Operation Desert Storm, B Company 124th Signal Battalion (Fort Carson Colorado) as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic, HHC 22nd Signal Brigade (Darmstadt Germany) as a Squad Leader, 418th Transportation Company (Fort Hood Texas) as a Maintenance Supervisor, 406th Transportation Detachment (Fort Hood Texas) as a Detachment NCOIC, 1st Replacement Company (Yongsan Korea) as a Theater Movement NCO, 1st Medical Brigade (Fort Hood Texas) as an assistant Brigade Maintenance Supervisor, 21st Combat Support Hospital (Fort Hood Texas) as the Senior Maintenance Supervisor in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Bravo Company 143d Ordnance Battalion (Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland) as a Senior Drill Sergeant, A Co 143d Ordnance Battalion (Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland) as a First Sergeant, HHSC 15th MI BN (AE) (Fort Hood Texas) as the Senior Maintenance Supervisor, S3 NCOIC, Unit Liaison Officer (in Kuwait) and First Sergeant.
