New Church Affiliation 

Hardins Chapel is now a member of the Association of Independent Methodists and has hired Rev. Curtis Franklin to be our new pastor.


Easter Season Continues

This year's Easter season began with special church services on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.  The annual Easter Egg Hunt and Pizza Party took place on Saturday with a community center full of kids and adults.  This is a joint event between the church and the Ruritan.  Easter sunrise service took place outside with some of the best weather in several years, followed by a breakfast by the Ruritan and Easter Worship service.  This was also the retirement Sunday for Rev. Roger Crim, who came out of retirement three years ago when we needed a pastor.


May Ruritan to Feature Homeless Shelter

Rhonda Castro of CARE (A Community in Action Reaches Everyone) will be guest speaker for the May Ruritan meeting on Monday, May 6, at 7:00.  The WFF will also be collecting items for CARE for the May mini-mission.  The Ruritan menu will be turkey breast, pork loin, meatballs, assorted vegetables, bread and dessert.


Annual WFF Senior Banquet

The Annual WFF Senior Banquet will be on Sunday, May 19, at 5:00 in the community center.  There will be a buffet supper prepared by the WFF followed by a message by Rev. Curtis Franklin and entertainment by Reanna Franklin of Blue Sapphire Violin.  All graduating seniors from high school, college, trade school, or graduate school are invited.  Please let us know if you will be attending.


WFF to Host Annual Christmas in July

The Women of Faith and Fellowship will once again host a craft and vendor show at Trinity  UMC Gym on Saturday, July 13, from 9:00 to 5:00.  The WFF will be having a bake sale and Stacey will be selling hot dogs, chili, and other items.  Anyone interested in being a vendor should contact Stacey at 823-1376.  The WFF will need help Friday evening setting up tables and chairs and again on Saturday after the event to take everything down.


WFF Monthly Mini-Missions

The Women of Faith and Fellowship pick out a mini-mission every month to collect items or donations for.  The rest of the church is encouraged to help.
