Jack Haloupek Before Lois

Jack Haloupek, born 10 April 1924 in Belle Plaine, Benton County, Iowa

He played the clarinet.

Driving Lesson? I think that's a young Jack Haloupek on the left, and the man on the right doesn't look like Grandpa Haloupek. And someone else seems to be in the driver's seat!

I think this is a high school picture. With a pencil in his pocket, and a pen clipped to his sweater, he's ready to go!

Delivering 200 lb blocks of ice.

That's a nice truck!

Sitting on the porch on a summer day.

I don't know if this was a prom date or what. That's Jack but that's not Lois!

Two guys watching one guy work. That's Jack on the right. He spent a summer working as a cook for a lumber crew, in the Pacific Northwest, before joining the Army in 1942.

At Cornell College, in Mount Vernon, Iowa.

In the Army. That's Jack Haloupek, Lt. Bronski and Simonsen.

Looking sharp in that US Army uniform. The crossed rifles on the cap indicate the 10th Mountain Division.

Home from the service.
