Kokolishi means shell in Papiamento. Kokolishi was the kindergarten of my childhood on Curaçao, where I do not remember the children but 4 events. Yet people keep telling me that they went to kindergarten with me all the time. Even now when I am in my 40s.
The Memories I active remember are:
That my drawings were called jogojogo, except for a beautiful painting with a sky that seemed almost real, and all the teachers liked it
I can still remember climbing the frame and a fair at school where I pulled a small bottle of Glacial on a rope as a present
Every Monday and Fridays I had to wear a uniform and sing the anthem when the flag was being raised and let down
The uniform was a red skirt and white shirt on Monday and Friday. The rest of the week I wore something else than an uniform.
