Russian Guardians

The ‘Guardians’ are a special Russian task force made up of agents from various races. Formed after WW2 in response to the western world’s formation of the Guild, the Guardians have defended Russia from supernatural threats for decades. Russia is fiercely proud of its Guardians, using them as propaganda across the country, as well as in some diplomatic roles. The past three presidents of Russia were ex Guardians, human ones at least.

However, unlike the Guild, the Russian Guardians answer directly to their government and are trained from a young age to obey any order. They have committed hideous crimes in the name of the ‘Mother Land’, with little too no ramifications. The people love them because they have been indoctrinated to love them and they perform their duties for the same reason.

Like the Guild, the Guardians are split into departments called ‘Battalions’, each made up of different races. Their structure is much more martial than the Guild’s, so they can be folded into the general armed forces at a moment’s notice.

The Guild and the Guardians have a tense relationship. This is from a mixture of pride between to similar organizations, but also diplomatic tensions between the GA and the Russians. There has been a standing arrangement since the 1980’s that the Guild would not enter Russian territory, and vice versa, but this doesn’t stop covert missions enacted by both sides in each other’s lands.

Gregoi Misha Kuznetsov

Nicknamed the ‘Old Bear’, Gregoi Misha Kuznetsov has fought for his home land for a long time. Born in 1801 in Moscow, Gregoi has fought in every major Russian war since he was 14. He is now one of the oldest Werewolves in history. He became the Commissar General of the Guardians in 1955 and has lead them ever since. The most decorated war hero in Russian History, the ‘Old Bear’ will protect Russia for as long as he lives.

Natalia Letuchaya Mysh

Lt Natalia Letuchaya Mysh is one of the up and coming members of the Guardians. At only 30 years old, she is practically still a child in Vampire terms, but in those years she has proven supremely efficient as a combat leader and ruthless against her enemies. Part of Russia’s ‘New Guardian’ initiative in the 90’s, Natalia was given over by her parents to the Guardians to be trained as the ultimate soldier. Warfare is all she has ever known but she has grown up to be a charismatic and charming leader.

Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga is the name of a Banshee operative currently working for the Guardians as an assassin. Not much is known of his origins, but he is decorated with hundreds of confirmed kills (according to the propaganda anyway).

Anastasia

An Immortal of some note, Anastasia is the best infiltrator in the Guardians. A master of disguise, she can be anywhere and anyone. Her origins are mysterious, but there are rumours she is the lost princess of the Tsars, Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna.
