Christianity at its inarguable core is the belief in God the Father, Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit; as well as the death, decent into hell, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.
Whilst in this world, much of Christianity remains the same; one cannot deny that the knowledge of existence of supernatural beings has thrown a lot into question. Questions including by not limited to: Did God create the supernatural beings? If so then where does this fit into God’s plan? Are supernatural beings a work of the Devil? Are they created outside of both and are beyond our understanding? Was Jesus a Risen? If so, can Risen achieve Ascension? Is this world we live in a Biblical Apocalypse misinterpreted? Why is none of this in The Bible? Was this part of the missing pages excluded from The Bible, or were the signs always there just lost in translation? Were the Miracles in The Bible simply works of magic? Were the 'Plagues of Egypt' simply the work of Chaotic Ritualist? And of course, do we even accept the supernatural beings to live alongside us?
Each group and individual within Christianity have their own answers, own questions, or leave the answers to God’s will. Some people turned from Christianity with the revelation of supernatural creatures, but more turned to religion for protection, Christianity being one of them. Too many, this was proof of existence beyond scientific understanding; and with The Catholic Church’s revelation of having been aware of combating supernatural for many years, this was proof for many people of the existence of God. Alongside that, it showed the capability of the Church and The Vatican’s capability in dealing with such creatures. Many of the different groups within Christianity adapted their core beliefs to deal with the coming of such creatures; others kept them largely the same and simply included the existence of them in their teachings.
Other groups and churches sprung up post World War II as a direct result of the confirmed existence of the supernatural, taking a more proactive and focused approach to dealing with the issue at hand. Much like any group within Christianity, different groups have different interpretations of messages and what they believe their own core mission is, some groups of course coming into direct conflict with each other. Some may value humanity over all; others may have preference to more ‘humane’ creatures of the Supernatural; whilst others may be accepting to all whom exist.
Whatever it may be, the existence of supernatural has not quelled the belief of God in many people, and Christianity still has a strong degree of influence within the world. How that affects the it, only time will tell.
