Morphology:Â White mollusk with no apex on the shell reaching up to 11.6mm.
Distribution: The east coats of the United States and Canada as well as the west Atlantic and west Africa.
Habitat: They are found at a depth of 0-735 meters, mostly in the infralittoral zone. They are often found on the beach in drifts of matted grass.
Life History: Planktonic and detrital food obtained through suspension or deposit feeding. They have separate sexes and shed their eggs into the water.
