Show Choir

Rehearsals

Anthem rehearsals will start the week of August 31, 2026.

• Boys will rehearse Tuesday mornings (7:15-8:00am) and Wednesday afternoons (3:15-4:15pm)

• Girls will rehearse Wednesday mornings (7:15-8:00am) and Thursday afternoons (3:15-4:15pm)

Costumes

Show Choir costumes will be different every year.  They will help the group look great on stage, provide a uniform look throughout the group, and enhance the music and choreography.  We want to present ourselves well at competitions, but we don't want to break the bank when buying these costumes.  Students will purchase the show choir costume that is selected by Mr. Avery for this year's show.  It will be $200 or less per student.  Please contact Mr. Avery if you need financial assistance.  Money should never be the reason someone can't participate in show choir.

Attendance

Attendance at rehearsal is very important, since a lot of music and choreography will be learned each week.  In order to have all of the information necessary to participate in performances, students should have no more than 1 absence per semester.

Coaches are glad to share time with show choir, but students should let Mr. Avery and their coaches know if they are involved with school sports or show choir.  Anthem members will attend show choir rehearsal until 4:00pm before going to sports practice.  If school sports are practicing in the morning, please be to show choir rehearsal by 7:30am.
