Girl Scouts can earn their Highest Awards through projects that make a difference in their community. Each level of award has certain prerequisites and guidelines to achieve that award. Some are done as an individual and some are done as a group. Either way, it helps the Scouts to earn a sense of pride in doing great things in their community!
Girl Scout Juniors earn the Bronze Award by teaming up with other Giel Scouts to make a difference in their communities.
Girl Scout Cadettes earn the Silver Award by researching an issue, making a plan to address it, and then taking action to improve their communities.
Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors earn the Gold Award - the highest award in Girl Scouting - by developing and carrying out lasting solutions to issues in their neighborhoods and beyond.

The Take Action Pin is also a new prerequisite for High Awards. Here are a few ideas for earning that pin:
Create bat houses for a garden with signs educating visitors on how bats are pollinators
Make a game table for the Ronald McDonald House. It continues to give to the community when visitors play the games.
Put together exercise cards or diy games for nursing homes. This will give visitors activities that they can do with the residents when they visit.
