I enjoy making websites because I like to combine writing and creativity. All the websites I have created involve designing the site and each page, writing the content, adding images, pictures, and graphics related to the topic, and maintaining the site.
I also disseminate research findings by reading published academic articles and translating their content for the general audience.
I have used a variety of tools to build my sites. My favorites are Google sites and Wordpress.
Here is a list of the sites I have designed:
The Post-Baccalaureate Research and Education Program (PREP) website. PREP is a training program for students in the biomedical field at the University of Washington. I designed the site and wrote all the content.
The Gabriele Varani Lab website. This is un update of a UW Professor's website describing his research.
Cosmic Dust website. This site summarized the research we performed at the Cosmic Dust lab at the University of Washington for over ten years. The site was later removed.
The 50th anniversary of the Department of Astronomy website. This site commemorated the existence and history of the Department of Astronomy at the University of Washington and was made for the department's 50th anniversary. The site was removed one year after the commemoration.
