I like interviewing scientists from a variety of disciplines, and then sharing with my readers their personal stories and how these stories have shaped their professional lives. I wrote profile articles quarterly for the AWIS newsletter, and I have also contributed content to organizations like the Fred Hutch Project Violet, the UW College of the Environment, and the 50th anniversary of the UW Department of Astronomy.
1) Profiles I have written for the quarterly AWIS newsletter:
My entrepreneurial venture: a long and winding road. An interview with Dr. Carla Grandori, founder of Cure First.
I wanted it all and I have it all. An interview with Loria Yeadon.
Nancy Hutchison: from biomedical research to science outreach in the classrooms.
2) Profiles I have written for Project Violet (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center) social media.
Chris Mehlin, Small compounds derived from organisms: a big promise for cancer treatment.
Colin Correnti: an entrepreneurial path to fight rare pediatric diseases.
3) Profiles I have written for the UW College of the Environment newsletter:
4) I wrote most of the profiles that appear on the UW Department of Astronomy 50th anniversary commemoration website, along with the different historical summaries of the department.
