Records Requests in the time of the Pandemic and Beyond

Join Jennifer Snyder and Matt Russell from GovQA as they present findings on the influx of complexity and volume of electronic informational requests during the time of the pandemic and beyond. GovQA has recently conducted a study of over 250 different state and local governments and has measured anonymized data on a quarterly basis, which has produced jaw dropping evidence of new complexities that didn't exist 5 years ago in the way people request information and exchange data. During the presentation GovQA will go over how this statistically significant data can be used to understand the mechanics of the public records process; data management best practices, assess the impact of significant events on information sharing; forecast the future state of the industry; and support tech investments to streamline workflows. For those interested in learning more, a brief demo will be available after the presentation.

The Latest in Cloud Computing

Late in 2016, Forrester Research stated that cloud computing is in a ‘hyper growth’ phase which will result in revenues of $236 Billion by 2020. They further suggest that most of the growth will come from existing customers who will be expanding their use of public cloud services and capabilities. What impact will this have on information governance programs and professionals? Is your organization fully aware of the risks they should mitigate in moving to the cloud? What advantages does cloud computing bring to the governance of information? This will explore the impact this explosion this will have on IG professionals and their practices. Join us for this iMasters re-broadcast from September and live discussion with other GNO-ARMA members.
