"Doomdocks" is a custom map I made for Borderlands in 5-6 weeks using custom textures, materials, and static meshes. Also I modded together some custom NPCs using a mixture of used & unused assets I found in the upk files of the game. Instead of just sitting or standing there they patrol and shoot at enemy threats (in this case zombies).
It takes place in a dockyard, on a cargo ship, and along a riverbank, and uses zombies as it's only enemy type.
The sky texture I downloaded from http://www.cgtextures.com/ and added a moving clouds effect and a shiny full moon.
For the cargo containers I downloaded photos from the same site and picked out nine I liked and resized them in PaintshopPro 5 and created custom normalmaps & specular samples for the depth and highlights.
The various custom ship textures were also made using photo source pictures from the internet.
