Adding the wet stuff
OK, you need to use the "nodraw" texture for the water so start by clicking on the browse button by the texture
on the right of the Hammer editor and type nodraw into the filter box then double-click the nodraw texture.
Create a small brush about the area you think your dip is and hit enter...you may need to resize it a bit so the top vanishes into the ground on all sides.
Now click on the texture tool on the left then move the mouse over the top of the water and click on it to select it.
Click on browse and type nature or water into the box (the best waters are under nature) and double-click a water texture.
Tip: the canals03 water seems to be the one with the least bugs for some unknown reason
Click apply and you should see your water surface change colour
To finish off we need a water entity in our map to make the water behave properly so pop an entity in with the entity tool
and change it's properties to water_lod_control as in the screenshot
Compile the map and there you have it....a puddle
Hope this helps
