Gibson County Master Gardeners

Next Meeting: July 20, 2015

What’s bugging you?

July 20:  In the middle of summer, insects are a timely topic – bugs.  (Please don’t take my MG certification away; I know to say “insects.”)  However, Vanderburgh County Horticulture Educator Larry Caplan probably knows more about these little critters than almost anyone around and is always so willing to share his knowledge.

Larry received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in horticulture from the University of Illinois.  He is a Certified Arborist and an Indiana Accredited Horticulturist, and has taught and administered the Purdue Master Gardener Program in southwestern Indiana since 1987. He has won numerous national awards through the National Association of County Agriculture Agents for his high quality educational programs and is also a professional magician.  As the "Magic Gardener," he uses his sleight-of-hand skills to teach environmental and horticultural topics to schoolchildren.

All 2015 meeting topics are listed in the February Newsletter

MG Seminars in Indiana are listed on this Purdue MG site.
