Although less that 100 feet from NM Highway 9, this town is hard to spot unless you know exactly where to look.  Not much remains anymore except some of the fences that made up the livestock pens that used to be here.  At one time there was a railroad siding here, water tanks for livestock and a loading ramp for cattle on the trains.  Named for the East Potrillo mountains located just to the north of the town.
