MEMBERSHIP
The Association shall observe the provisions of Section 113 of the Companies’ Act 2006.
1. Membership shall be opened to individuals over the age of sixteen who are of Ghanaian descent or have the interest and development of Ghana at heart or are legal associates of persons of Ghanaian origin.
2. Children of registered members shall be considered co-opted members until they are sixteen years to become fully registered members.
3 All applications shall be approved by the Executive and membership once approved is not transferable.
4 The Executive shall keep a register of names, addresses and any relevant contact details of the members and shall be kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
CONDITIONS FOR REFUSAL
1 The Executive may only refuse an application for membership if, acting reasonably and properly, they consider it to be in the best interest of the Association to refuse the application.
2 The Executive must inform the applicant in writing of the reasons for the refusal within twenty-one days of the decision.
3 The Executive must consider any written representations the applicant may make about the decision. The Executive members’ decision following any written representations must be notified to the applicant in writing and shall be final.
