Part of what makes this community so great are the great social events which gives us a chance to not only have an excuse to hang out with our favorite neighbors (and friends), but to meet new neighbors, as well!
Events are coordinated by the Social Committee:
Chairman: Tracy Sharma - email sharma27@verizon.net
Co-Chairs: Susan Dubin and Maureen Parrecco
There are currently four annual events that are organized by the social committee. They are all delightful and well attended. Additional fees and duties may apply for those who participate.
The Progressive Dinner (Adults only) - A traveling party in which appetizers are enjoyed at one (of normally two) homes, the crowd then breaks up into smaller groups at different homes throughout the neighborhood for a more intimate dinner. We end the evening together with dessert and dancing at a final home location.
Easter Egg Parade and Egg Hunt (Suggested ages 12 and under) - Decorate your bike, scooter, wagon, self, etc. and meet at the designated parade starting location. Enjoy the short progression at your own speed to the Egg Hunt site. When all parade participants have arrived they are separated into two groups by age and assigned a search area and the hunt begins! (Number of eggs each participant may find is limited to designated amount to accommodate varied abilities).
Luau (Adults Only) - This summer dance party features a poolside potluck dinner and dance with a DJ. You better bring your swim suit because you never know who will end up in the pool before the night is over!
Octoberfest - Fun for the whole family! Young and old alike enjoy this evening of sausage, burgers and dogs on the grill along with potluck donations from all. Kids will enjoy face painting, moon bounce, pumpkin decorating contest as well as yard games such as touch football, frisbee, tug-of-war (adults have been known to challenge the kids) and more. Music provided by DJ or live band.
