What a magical evening we had in Widdington Village at our annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday 6th December 2008!
Angie and I were outside in the crisp winter air, wrapped up warm and serving up steaming cups of her delicious homemade Glühwein. With its rich spices and warming aroma, it was a huge hit with everyone — a true festive favourite that brought smiles (and warmth!) to many cold hands.
The village green came alive with the sights and sounds of the season — sparkling lights, cheerful carol singing, the buzz of families browsing stalls, and children marveling at the festive decorations. There was a real sense of community, joy, and shared celebration throughout the evening.
We want to say a big heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, supported the event, and helped create such a wonderful atmosphere. Whether you stopped by for a cup of Glühwein, picked up a handmade gift, or simply joined in the fun, you made it special.
Events like these remind us of what makes Widdington so special — community spirit, warmth, and a shared love of tradition.
We look forward to many more festive gatherings in the years to come.
Merry Christmas from all of us in Widdington Village!
