FACILITIES – **Site of the 2016 & 2017 SCBDA 1A/3A Upper State Marching Band Championships and the 2018 Bands of America South Carolina Regional**
Home to the Gaffney Indians, the $9 Million stadium opened its gates to start the 2008/2009 school year. The centerpiece of the 63 acre Gaffney High School campus, the stadium boasts a state of the art optimum drainage synthetic field turf surface, seating for 8,500 fans, a 4-story heated/air-conditioned press box with its own private elevator, three concession stands, a souvenir stand, ample restroom facilities, a video-screen jumbo-tron and state of the art lighting and sound systems. With 5 parking lots and two additional football fields for staging and warm-ups, the Gaffney High School Campus is the perfect venue to perform in during your Marching Band Season. Offering two warm-up and staging areas, an abundance of performer and spectator parking, and more than ample seating, this venue provides the ideal "Championships" experience for your mid/late-season benchmark.
HOSPITALITY - Enjoy unobstructed views of competitors as they perform from the exclusive Director's Hospitality Suite, located in the Indian's Booster Club building at the North end of the Stadium. Directors enjoy a unique experience! With just one week before the 2018 Bands of America South Carolina Regional Championships, Directors can watch the competition live while enjoying exclusive dining options, reviewing commentary, and networking with fellow directors as they prepare for their BOA performances.
CLASSIFICATION – The six band classifications will be based on the size of each band's horn line with the traditional, natural band size brakes defining classification
SCORING FORMAT – Participating Bands will be judged using the SCBDA score sheets. Our championship quality judging panel will be sure to provide the quality of critique needed for that end of season final tune-up. To be a champion, you must compete against champions. It's important to us as performers to receive commentary that will further our growth and prepare us for the upcoming championships. First Place trophies will be awarded for High Music Score, Percussion, and Guard in addition to the trophies awarded for First, Second, and Third Place Per classification.
JUDGES - Our judges will be announced as they are confirmed. Please check back often!
