Pressure Testing

If you unplug your N75 and go WOT, you'll just get wastegate pressure as your boost....which means it's open when off so pressure is allowed to open the wastegates

Now I always see people say that you must independently pressure test the wastegate lines to test them. I was under the impression that the n75 valve was open while the car is off. Meaning that the lines will be pressurized on any pressure test. Is this not the case?

When you do a normal intake pressure test, the wastegate lines should get pressurized as well. However testing the entire intake creates all sorts of other noises (oil bubbling, some air coming out the PCV valve, air rushing in from compressor, etc). Testing the actuator lines alone means none of those noises occurring for a more accurate diagnosis. In addition, I normally only pressure test the entire intake to 10-15 psi, but I test the wastegate actuator lines alone to 20-25 psi.
