Our aim is to understand the origin and evolution history of the Earth, Moon and planets in our Solar system based on magnetic fields. Our research interest is summarized in the following.
1. Dynamo process in the core
Magnetic field generation processes and its secular variation in the cores of the planets using high performance computing.
Check our latest paper for geomagnetic reversals
2. Origin of the lunar crustal magnetic field
Processes of magnetization acquisition in the lunar crust using magnetometer data obtained by lunar orbiters, Kaguya and LP.
Check our result in Nature Geoscience!
3. Exploration of solar system bodies
Interior dynamics of Mercury, Moon, Ganymede, Europa, and also Enceladus using numerical modeling and analyzing magnetometer data.
