Dornier 328

My first and so far only aircraft model done from scratch and my very first large project in 3d Studio Max 9. The original scope of the project was never fulfilled because I got tired of patching up irregularities on the external model.

It was supposed to depict the turboprop (100 series) model with a working virtual cockpit and the jet model (300 series) with a working virtual cockpit. The panel and gauges were to be Alex Jorda's 328 panel, the sound was to be anyones and the FDE was to be my feeble effort. But that was little more than a daydream.

The switch to a 1980s environment inside FSX (see RetroAI) made finding a justification for continued development nearly impossible as the Do328 is a product of the early 1990s.

The 328 was originally hosted on Google Code until it shut down. Now it can be found on this page.

Since the model is a FSX native one, however, there is still the possibility to use my external model with the cockpit model from the payware Virtualcol 328.
