Journal Search in Britannica Library

Across all three of the reading levels of Britannica Library, you have access to a collection of informative magazines and journals, provided by EBSCO.

How to Search specifically for JOURNAL or MAGAZINE ARTICLES:

  • Click on the yellow “SEARCH” box

  • Enter your search terms, and select the link for “View all results...”

Note: the search is done across all three reading levels (Children; Young adults; Reference center) – you can change the level in your search results.

  • Four tabs will appear in the results – click on the “... More” tab.

  • Then click on "Magazines" [see example below]

You will see that an "Advanced search" option is also available. If you know the

title of a specific journal, you can use it there, in the “Exact phrase” search field

(e.g. “Africa Today”; “History Today”; "Research in African Literatures"; “Seminar.Net”; “Human Resources Magazine”; “Talent Development”; “Online Journal of Issues in Nursing”; Critical Care Nurse”; “Therapy Today; Natural Solutions”; “School Administrator”; “Environmental Health Perspectives”; “New Mobility”; “Peace Magazine”; “Pneuma Review”; “Science and Children”; “Science Scope”; “Science Teacher”; etc.)

NOTE:

These "journal searching" instructions aim to make you aware of the journals/magazines as an ADDITIONAL information resource at Britannica Library. Remember that in most cases the encyclopedia articles are still the MAIN information resource to make use of in Britannica Library.
