As a pet companion—YOU have now become part of our health care team, and there are certain things we expect from you so we can all provide a happy, healthy life for your furry friend.

· To take advantage of educational materials given to you by reading them and asking questions
· To provide complete information about your pets health
· To tell us if you don’t understand something
· To give us feedback about how we’re meeting your needs.
Hospital Policies:
When entering our facility, please have your pet restrained either with a leash or in a carrier for their safety and comfort.
We accept all major credit cards, cash, personal checks, ScratchPay and Care Credit. We also accept pre-payments for surgeries and annual exam + vaccinations and a held check program for pre-approved accounts. All new clients and current clients with sick pets are required to put $150 deposit toward their bill at the time the patient is admitted. We highly recommend Pet Insurance (we have brochures available if you haven’t already received one or you may visit Nationwide Pet Insurance, Purina Pet Health Insurance and Trupanion. There are many other companies available.
Every animal receiving an injectable vaccination is required by federal law to be examined first. Vaccines are not harmless and can make your pet sick—especially if your pet is not at its healthiest.
We cannot fill prescription products without having seen the patient they are to be prescribed for—again by federal law.
All animals admitted to our facility for boarding or daycare must be current on all required vaccinations and free of parasites.
Euthanasia’s must have a medical reason. You may surrender your pet to the McCook Humane Society, you can reach them at 308-345-2372 to schedule an appointment. Their business hours are 2-5 pm Monday thru Friday, noon-4 pm on Saturday.
