Our COVID Action Plan

(The following has been submitted to Placer County Environmental Health)

Foresthill Swimming and Recreation COVID Action Plan

Foresthill Pool Entry

Our sign-in area will have a barrier between staff and patrons with pass through section between barrier and table.

Patrons can pay at the door via a no touch PayPal system. Staff will instruct patrons to insert card into the reader. Staff will ask for permission to “X” on the signature line. Staff will then sign in each patron that enters the facility and will clarify which patron will be swimming. We will have bins for cash/check payments but also require exact change and require exact change. Every 3 days, staff will count the contents while wearing proper PPE. Clean pens will be available to staff/patrons. Disposable masks will be available to those that do not bring their own.

Foresthill Pool Snack Bar

In previous years, we have offered a pre-packaged snack bar. Due to the forecasted cost of PPE, we’ll be suspending our snack bar and encouraging patrons to bring their own food and drink.

Foresthill Pool Lessons

We will only offer private lessons. Lesson instructors will be provided plastic face shields. Instructors will sanitize their mask before and after each lesson. Each instructor will have a designated staging area where their swimmer will wait for their lesson...the instructor will signal to the parent to bring their swimmer to the edge of the pool.

Foresthill Pool Water Aerobics

Program capacity will be capped at 30 patrons. Each patron will be told in advance that they should bring their own equipment. We WILL offer equipment that will be sanitized by staff before and after a patron uses the equipment.

Program will be modified to have water resistance based exercise so that equipment is not crucial to programming.

Foresthill Pool Lap Swim

We accommodate eight lap swimmers at a time. Kick boards will be available- sanitized before and after patron use by staff- but will encourage patrons to bring their own.

Foresthill Pool Swim Team

The swim team program will be modified to a conditioning season. Swimmers will be separated by ability and placed in different areas of the pool with their coach. There will be no more than 1 simmer per lane at the edge of the pool.

Foresthill Pool Public Swim

We will allow no more than 30 patrons in the water at a time. Staff will then instruct patrons to a sitting area large enough to facilitate social distancing. We will use a facility map to help keep track of how many groups/people are in the water and on the premises...kind of like what you'd see at a hostess kiosk at a restaurant. Nearly all loungers and chairs have been removed from the premises and patrons will be encouraged to bring their own seating. Certified life preservers and goggles will not be available to patrons.

Foresthill Pool Sanitation

Touch points- Staff will be in constant rotation sanitizing touch points with CDC approved cleansers which will be included in our SDS folder. Touch points include, main gate, check-in table, door handles, bathroom fixtures, kitchen area faucet, refrigerator handles and counters, diving board handrails, pool handrails, permanent seating that is unoccupied, electronic devices used for payment and/or sound.

Bathrooms- After each public swim bathrooms will be deep cleaned including floors.
