Trash & Recycling

Trash is collected twice a week, on Sunday and Wednesday, under contract with the city's Waste Management affiliate. Condo dues pay for this service.

• Only normal household trash and garbage may go in the dumpster.

  • • Your oversize, bulky, or unwanted items, and construction rubbish must be properly disposed (you must take them to the dump yourself).

• • Residents are encouraged to recycle. Information can be found at: http://www.juneau.org/pubworks/recycling.php

  • Residents should never place hazardous materials into the dumpster. Household Hazardous Waste can be taken for free to the city collection: http://www.juneau.org/pubworks/hazardwaste.php

  • Left over pills should not be flushed or put in trash. Please take them to the Rx drop off box at the Juneau Police Department.
