Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) is a National Science Foundation program at universities and science institutions across the United States. REU's pair undergraduates with scientists to conduct meaningful research in Biology. Travel, housing, and a summer stipend are often provided for accepted students. Applications are due starting in January. Students should apply directly to the program of interest. Participants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.
