Serena Pilato obtained her Degree in Pharmacy on 8th Novembre 2017 at the University "Gabriele d'Annunzio" of Chieti (Italy), showing an experimental thesis entitled "Synthesis of immunoliposomes as antitumoral drug delivery system" under the supervision of prof. Antonella Fontana. During this experience she had the opportunity ti learn some of the main analytical techniques such as spectrophotometry, chromatography, fluorimetry, DLS and Zeta potential.

In December 2017 she passed the exam to have the necessary qualification to work as a pharmacist. In April 2018 she started to work in a Pharmacy in Ischia for six months: this experience allowed her to extend and put into practice her pharmacological knowledge and also to acquire the ability to interact with patients with kindness, humanity and security required for this job.

She received her PhD degree in “Biomolecular and Pharmaceutical Sciences” discussing a thesis prepared in the Organic Chemistry laboratories at the Department of Pharmacy of the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti in July 2022.

She has been a RTDA since march 2023.
