The Flight Gear 1 installation comes with standard aircraft, in the environment I am running it it, Linux Mint 22 and WINE, all aircraft tested run property. Earlier, textures were not shown, but now they are magically appearing, however many of these aircraft ran at 1 fps frame rate, and are unusable. Now, however, everything looks brighter.

Use rudder or carefully use auto coordination to keep straight on take - off. Difficult to do so.
Beech 1900D

Instruments work. Airspeed should be kept up over 120 to avoid overshooting

Throttle is moved by using Fn and pgup pgdn keys, not the usual 9 and 3.
