Additional Aircraft can be downloaded from some of the archived sites. .
Here are the sites for download: search for the aircraft for example : "c182_20080808.zip" (with quotes)

To install the aircraft, simply download the file and copy it into the Flight Gear Aircraft folder, then uncompress (unzip the file)
The aircraft should show in the launcher.

The form of the aircraft comes out quite nicely and the transparencies and seats show as well
The instruments need to be added, of course.
The aircraft is quite flyable, with realistic flight characteristics as far as I can determine, and a very nasty wing drop on stalling, which a air force sim also exhibited when I flew it in 2023.
Linux Mint 22 and WINE works fine. KHAF

Textures not showing
IMPORTANT NOTE: If texture and colors do not display, please go to Rendering Options and uncheck "USE POINT SPRITES FOR RUNWAY LIGHTS"
