I am a senior researcher working in Forestry and Forest products Research Institute.
I got PhD degree in Kyoto university and move to Forestry research institute in 2011.
Kazumichi Fujii (National Research and Development Agency Forest Research and Management Organization) is a soil scientist and he has over 15 years of research experience in soil science and published 28 peer-reviewed scientific publications. KF’s papers attracted ca. 500 citations. KF research programmes integrate organic matter cycles and soil formation. KFs research on soil acidification in tropical forests and croplands demonstrated the linkage between soil formation and organic matter cycles (Fujii et al., 2010), which was cited in a paper of Science. After then, he recognized importance of organic matter cycles in soil formation and coordinated several research programmes on carbon (C) cycles in Japanese volcanic soils, paddy soils, and Canadian peatlands. KF was awarded by Japan society of Ecology (Suzuki award, 2013), Japanese society of plant nutrition and manure (2014), and Japan Agricultural Society (2015), respectively. These awards are based on his scientific contribution in revealing soil-forming process and its application to soil fertility management. KF has managed research programme funded by JSPS. In addition, KF also had an experience to join in an international joint study at the Ecole Polythechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. These career can warrant coordination of an international joint study. If you are interested in collacorative study, please send me e-mail.
