Þór is a first prize stallion with a long history as a suceessful competition horse in both five-gait and loose-rein tolt competition. Þór became first prize as a four year old at the Gunnarsholt stallion show in 1998 with 8.24 overall. He went on to be a B-finalist in the A-Class at Landsmot 2002. He placed second in five-gait at the Icelandic Championships also in 2002. He continued to become an A-finalist in five-gait and T2 at the Icelandic Championships in 2003. He was imported to the US in 2003 where he continued showing successfully. Þór has many successful offspring both in the states and in Iceland. Þór’s dam received honor prize for offspring and his sire received first prize for offspring both in 1998. Þór is a proven breeding stallion from a long line of successful breeding and is a wonderful opportunity for breeding in the states. He has now retired from competition and will be standing at our farm for the 2017 season.
