First Grade Homework Procedures

Hello Families,

In first grade, homework is a partnership between parent and child. Students are not expected to be fully independent during homework time.

They need your support for:

• Materials management

• Reading directions

• Time management

• Answering questions

• For checking work for completion

Procedures

• First grade homework will not start the first week of school.

• The homework assignments and instructions will be found on Seesaw.

• The expectations for first grade homework will evolve throughout the school year
