Hello and thank you for coming to my page! My name is Angela Rinnert and I am thrilled to be teaching 1st grade for a 12th year at CHIME! In addition to being a teacher here, I am also the proud mother of two amazing sons! Patrick is a college sophomore and Garratt is a junior in high school. Both of my sons attended CHIME from preschool through middle school. I just celebrated 20 years of marriage to my husband, Matt. Matt is a CHIME Board member. Our family has two dogs, Luna and Zeppelin (as in Led).
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing games, reading, hiking, going to the theater (especially to see my boys perform), going to concerts and playing with my dogs. I am also very interested in researching new technology to use both in and outside of the classroom. I was selected to be a Go Noodle Ambassador and love using it in the classroom! Look for pictures of what is happening in the classroom on Classroom Dojo!
I have a multiple-subject teaching credential from CSUN and a B.A. in Deaf Studies with an emphasis in teaching. I also hold a certificate in Neurodevelopmental Strength-Based Approach to Teaching and Learning from CSUN. Prior to working at CHIME full-time, I was a substitute teacher at both CHIME and also the Las Virgenes Unified School District for over 3 years. As a substitute I worked in all elementary grade levels and held three long-term substitute teaching positions at CHIME.
I am looking forward to another great year at CHIME!
