This year we have three walks planned for September.
All walks are guided and walkers should wear suitable footwear for walking through the countryside and clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Please also bring your own packed lunches, drinks and something for elevensies.
All of our walks are free of charge and open to all, but please remember you are responsible for your own safety by being prepared, aware of your surroundings, and knowing your limits.
Sandy
Starting at Sandy Lodge RSPB reserve at 10:00, £6 parking fee (free to RSPB members), this walk takes in some of the Greensand Ridge Walk and finishes with a pleasant stroll through the RSPB reserve at The Lodge.
Hertfordshire Chain Walk No 14 (extended)
We set off from Therfield Village Green opposite the Fox & Duck at 10:00 on, for a walk through the rolling countryside.
Steeple Morden
Visiting the villages of Steeple Morden, Guilden Morden, Abington Pigotts and Litlington, each with its own pub and medieval church. With wide views and open skies, it passes moated farmhouses and thatched cottages, small woods and nature reserves.
We are looking into availability of a pub lunch for this walk, and depending on which village the pub location is chosen, f the start point and time will be confirmed at a later date.
