This is the set of 2026 Saturday Walks to October. The remainder of the year's Saturday walks will be decided at the September AGM.
We are also running shorter monthly Friday walks over the summer. These are shown on a separate page.
Anyone wanting to come along on a walk is asked to send an email to fenedge.footpathgroup@gmail.com which will be communicated to the walk organiser. This system is run alongside a googlegroup email, so please use this group email instead once you have subscribed.
For planning reasons most organisers prefer more than one weeks notice if you'd like to join the walk.

“Trails of the Riverbank”
Originally a 9 mile walk around St Ives following the course of the river Ouse. Starting at the St Ives Park and Ride car park, heading along the busway towards Cambridge for a short distance before turning off to join the riverbank as far as the marina (coffee stop). On to the St Ives causeway then left to the Hemingfords, cutting across to Houghton Mill (lunch stop), before taking the footpath along the river back to St Ives.
Don’t let the distance put you off! Its dry, level footpaths (no ploughed fields or hills) so easy walking (no poles required) with a coffee shop and toilets at the Mill.
Because of the conditions underfoot, the route will be on pavements and properly surfaced bridleways. we can navigate a circular route of about 6 miles. So the good news is it will be shorter, but still bring coffee and a packed lunch. We’re hoping the weather forecast for Saturday will improve!
