Historical Context

I wanted to put a few words together as a quick summary of changes we've had over the years.  With our long history of hosting poker nights the only constant has been change.  We've played poker at places with similar histories but where the hosts have been extremely resistant to changing how they host their game (even when presented with an obvious need for updates), but that's never handcuffed us.  

I like the graphical summary for each month of play (since we began tracking Felt Club back in 2009).  This summary shows the number of events we held each month, the total number of buy-ins for those events, and the total prize pool collected and redistributed in each of those months.  I've color-coded each Season to help differentiate.  Armed with the monthly totals, I was able to create Yearly Totals, Tournament Averages, and an average per-Tournament Buy-In amount (all of which are summarized on the right side — it may not show unless you maximize your browser or click into the graphic).  You can see that Julys are classically pretty poker-free.  (As was most of 2020 for some reason.)
