Kindness Week

November 16-20, 2020
During Kindness Week, let's focus on ways we can be kind to our families, friends, and community!

Find your grade and add a note in that column with your act of kindness and your first name in the description. You could be mentioned in a future Mindfulness Moment!

Every $10 can feed a child up to 100 meals. We are partnering with local business Schlicher Orthodontics to help hungry kids get free meals and to end child hunger in the U.S.

Acts of Kindness ideas:

  1. Send thank you cards to firefighters, first responders, and medical professionals

  2. Donate clothes to charity (leaving a happy note in the pocket)

  3. Donate to the local food bank

  4. Sort through your toys and donate any that you no longer play

  5. Leave chalk messages around where you live

  6. Write a letter to your sibling telling them why you love them

  7. Send a care package to someone in the military

  8. Pass on some of your books to friends

  9. Write thank you cards for your teacher, coach, or people that have influenced you in a positive way

  10. Pick up litter in your neighborhood with an adult

  11. Help out around the house without being asked to

  12. Donate pet food to a local shelter

  13. Walk someone else’s dog

  14. Give out a compliment

  15. Be polite by picking up something from the floor, saying please and thank you

  16. Let someone go in front of you in line

  17. Call an elderly relative and have a nice chat with them, ask them about their childhood

  18. Donate this week’s allowance or chore money to charity

  19. Do a chore for someone without them knowing

  20. Leave happy notes or kindness rocks around your neighborhood

  21. Check in on an elderly neighbor

  22. Set the table for dinner

  23. Tell someone why they are special to you

  24. Call a friend you haven’t seen in a while to say hello

  25. Read a book to someone

  26. Leave pennies on the pavement

  27. Tell someone how much you love them

  28. Say hi to and smile at everyone you see

  29. Make someone else’s bed

  30. Help make dinner

  31. Teach someone something new

  32. Give someone a hug coupon

  33. Ask for donations instead of birthday gifts

  34. Adopt an animal online

  35. Send a postcard to a friend

  36. Empty the dishwasher without being asked

  37. Write a letter to your mum and dad saying why you think they are special
