Teachers' Class Fund - Suggested donation: $50 per student. In lieu of parents doing the back-to-school supply shopping, we ask parents for a contribution to provide teachers with funds to purchase necessary supplies for their individual classroom for the entire school year.
Benefits:
Parents do not need to go shopping for supplies (no supply lists or hassle!)
Teachers buy what they need specifically for their classrooms
Teachers buy in bulk
All students in the classroom get the same supplies (pencils, pens, crayons, copy paper, books, glue sticks, markers, rulers, binders, folders, erasers, etc.)
PTA General Fund - Suggested donation: $150 per family. In recent years, this fund has provided Fairlands with:
All PTA-sponsored events (Fall Festival, Holiday Breakfast, Heritage Night, Family Fun Bingo Night)
Kindergarten recess equipment (tricycles, play traffic signs, balls)
New shade structure over lunch tables
Music program support (instruments, sound equipment)
Consumable classroom needs (workbooks, magazines, planners, etc.)
Literacy Programs (Handwriting Without Tears, Second Step, Raz Kids, XtraMath, Zearn Math, etc.)
Reflections art program certificates and awards
Fairlands Art Docent Program (FAD), classroom art lesson supplies
TheatreWorks, science shows (school assemblies) and character trait awards
Physical Education (PE) and playground equipment (balls, hula hoops, games)
Science Fair display boards and certificates
Fairlands Garden equipment
Library, Science, P.E., Music, Tech Fund - Suggested donation: $100 per family. Fairlands Specialty classes and services all play vital parts in our school. This fund supports:
Library - new books, book clubs, library furnishings
Science - educational resources and lab items
Physical Education - hula hoops, balls, jump ropes, etc.
Music - instruments, sound equipment
Technology - ink cartridges and repair or replace tech needs
Learn about volunteer opportunities on school campus and at events (after school hours).
