The 2nd EWPM was held on 9-11 October 2017 at the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
The 2nd EWPM was held on 9-11 October 2017 at the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
Whereas the 1st EWPM in Mainz (29-30 March 2016) consisted of closed presentations followed by discussions, the 2nd EWPM in Reading opened up the attendance and discussions to a wider audience. The 2nd EWPM also introduced a “topical panel” (on Brexit) and a “special talk” (on incorporating virtue ethics into social welfare functions of normative economics). The participants in the 2nd EWPM were some 30 researchers and PhD students. Similarly to the 1st EWPM, the 2nd EWPM ended with a closed morning of brief presentations of all speakers and discussions of collaborative projects for the future, but now also a representative of the Bristol University Press informed them about potential publishing options.
