Hi

My name is Elke Peters and I am a professor of Applied Linguistics and English at the Faculty of Arts, Campus Antwerp, of the KU Leuven. I teach Introduction to applied linguistics, English proficiency, Research methods for Applied Linguistics, Multilingualism, Language policy, and Sociolinguistic approaches to Language and Education. I am a member of the Research group "Language, Education, & Society", at the Department of Linguistics. In my research, I have been primarily interested in second/foreign language vocabulary acquisition.

Mijn naam is Elke Peters en ik ben als hoogleraar verbonden aan de Antwerpse campus van de KU Leuven. Ik geef Inleiding in de toegepaste taalkunde, Engelse taalbeheersing, Onderzoeksmethoden voor toegepast taalonderzoek, Meertaligheid, Taalbeleid, en Taal en Onderwijs: Sociolinguïstische aspecten. Ik ben lid van de onderzoeksgroep "Taal, Onderwijs & Samenleving" van de Onderzoeksheid Taalkunde aan de Faculteit Letteren. In mijn onderzoek richt ik mij hoofdzakelijk op woordenschatverwerving in een vreemde taal.
