EOAS has a great reputation for undergraduate teaching and relies heavily on graduate student teaching assistants! Becoming a teaching assistant has many benefits for graduate students from paid work hours (see notes on this below) to valuable teaching experience and opportunities to network across the department.
There are a wide variety of courses offered at EOAS which translates into a wide variety of TAship styles and commitments. There really is something for everybody.
Whether you're brand new to teaching or a seasoned veteran standing up in front of a lab, running zoom meetings, or holding office hours can be intimidating and stressful. This page is here to provide you with the resources to successfully navigate TAing at UBC.
