John and Adam Sharp

Divergent Paths:

Adam later moved to Vernon, Utah, where he raised sheep until his death on March 4,1890.

John served as bishop of the 20th Ward in Salt Lake City for 29 years, and worked under the contract, Sharp & Young Company (Brigham Young being the Young). John was in charge of the heavy stone work on the bridge abutements and the cutting of tunnels in the Weber Canyon. John acted as Brigham Young's emissary and represented him at the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory. John became director of the Union Pacific Railroad until his death on December 23, 1891, at the age of 71.

All three brothers are buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
