Fireworks are difficult to photograph because of low light as well as the speed of fireworks exploding. You usually have to take a slow exposure and ensure your camera is very steady - a tripod is best, although I have tried holding my breath or leaning against part of my car or a chair. Most digital cameras now have night and firework settings that are really helpful. The following two photos were taken in 1993 at a July 4th display from Leary Field in Waltham MA with my Nikon N8008 camera and slide film that was converted to digital. The second photo, titled "Fireworks Bouquet," was posted on the Woburn Guild of Artists website in the member section.
